For our 24th episode of the HISTORY OF LA SKA: ONE ON ONE SESSIONS, host JUNOR FRANCIS spoke with Jamaican music legend, NORMA FRASER, whose singing career began in the early 1960s. Her 1967 rendition of “The First Cut Is The Deepest” remains a fan favorite all around the world.

Norma and Junor are friends, and their bond certainly comes across in this interview. Norma talks about: her duets with Lord Creator, Slim Smith, Lord Brynner and Ken Boothe; working with Lynn Taitt and The Sheiks; her deep history with Roland Alphonso, The Skatalites and Studio One; her friendship with Dwight Pickney, Rita Marley and Bob Marley; living to Oregon; working with The Bandulus; the importance of staying socially conscious; and so much more. It was a really special interview from start to finish!
